AMA Recap: Runnow.io x StepN OTC
Mr. William Nguyen, Chairman of KBG Studio, participated in a live AMA at the StepN OTC Telegram Group on July 9th, 2022.
During the session, he was able to fully introduce Runnow.io to the community, answer questions about the project, go over the project’s future objectives, and much more. This blog post is a recap of the live AMA session, including community questions and William’s comments.

I’m William — Chairman at KBG Studios — a GameFi art and development studio.
I am a serial entrepreneur with vast experiences in over 20+ technology businesses and several industries. My aspiration is to adopt the newest technology in management and financial activities on a global scale

About Runnow.io:
Runnow.io is a Lifestyle Gamification — Move & Earn project developed by KBG Studios. With a vision “One million steps for a healthier world”, we want to build a healthier, inclusive, and sustainable world where people not only take care of themselves but also care for others.
With that in mind, Runnow.io encourages people to take steps in daily exercise and participate in social activities. Not only do users improve their physical health and earn valuable in-game rewards, but they can also connect with communities worldwide and join in regular social activities to support those in need.
Balancing between market trends and our vision, Runnow.io will constantly innovate and upgrade many unique features for users to join and support the community: Runnow Man Tournament, Catchup Runnow Go, Donation, Sleep & Earn, Learn & Earn, etc.

Before full launch, we also have multiple rounds of testing and getting feedback through the internal Alpha testing. We will also open Beta Test for users to try out the Runnow.io app and collect feedbacks for continuous improvement.
Actually, we are being audited by Verichains — one of the most high-quality blockchain development and smart contract security audit services. It once fixed the Ronin Bridge from Axie Infinity and we are very confident to have our project protected by them.

Can you list the features your project has and other similar projects and Can you convince me to invest in your project compared to others similar to yours?

First, different from many other projects focusing on only one sport (running), Runnow.io offers diverse sports, including running, cycling, swimming, gym, yoga, sleep, and more. As a result, users have multiple choices when choosing NFTs to start and play modes to earn.
Second, it’s easy to play and earn a lot in Runnow.io. There are 12+ Play Modes for users to participate and earn RUNNOW/RUNGEM tokens. With diverse NFTs collections, you can freely trade, sell, lend, lease them for more profits. Tournaments and challenges will be open soon to engage the whole community. Here is a sneak peek: Mara Runnow (for running), Tour de Runnow (for cycling), Swim with Runnow (for swimming), Runnow Man Tournament, and much more.
Also, we will cooperate with NGOs and social communities to organize regular activities for people to join and support those in need. Runnow.io wants to build a healthier, inclusive, and sustainable world where people not only take care of themselves but also care for others.

Most Move-to-Earn games these days have a high initial entry fee to create an account, purchase items, game characters, and more. However, what are the initial requirements to play in the project? Can players make money from Free Play?

Thanks @vietnam2k4. Users need to purchase an NFT Sneaker/Bicycle/Swimwear to participate in game modes and earn with Runnow.io. However, you can also join for free with our Free to Play/Free to Earn modes.
With Free to Play, you can quickly create an account and log in Runnow.io App to practice and record daily exercise results for free.
With Free to Earn, lucky participants in the Airdrop Gift Code event can get a Gift Code to complete a quick workout challenge in order to unlock the Mystery Box. Users will either receive a gift of Sneakers, a Bicycle, or Swimwear once they open the Mystery Box (this is not an NFT and has a limited life circle), then practice to earn.

Does RUNNOW have an NFT system? What types of NFTs are there? And is it possible to upgrade NFT to a higher level? Is there a requirement for new users to need NFT to join the game? Is it possible to play for free?

Thanks @jonnynguyen12 for the question. Yes, to get started, users need to equip themselves with NFT Sneakers/Bicycle/Swimwear.
There are four levels of Sneakers, each suitable for different runners’ fitness needs and professionalism.
Beginner Sneakers allow you to run between 1 and 6 km/h, while Joggers enable faster speeds, at 4–10 km/h. Runners are higher-level sneakers in which you can run from 8 to 20 km/h. Super Stars are the most powerful sneakers which permits a 10–20 km/h run and highest earnings.
Depending on the level of Sneakers, you will earn different number of RUNGEM (reward token). The higher Sneakers levels, the higher earning rates.
Each pair of sneaker will cost you 12 Energy to start exercising with the earning rates of 80, 100, 120, 140 RUNGEM respectively.

Answer:

Q2: You have #NFTs in your platform. Can you tell us the use-cases for these NFTs ? Is it required to have NFTs to start earning rewards for exercising, competing, creating and motivating? Can you also tell us where can we buy the NFT and is it possible to get it for free?

Our NFTs have multiple utilities for you to earn:
- Earn from participating in 12+ gameplay modes: Free to Play/Free to Earn, Workout, Leaderboard, Daily Request, Mara Runnow — Running, Challenge Mode, and more
- Earn from the upgraded NFTs: You can upgrade your NFTs to higher levels (from 1 to 30) and increase earning rates
- Earn from the minted NFTs: You can get a new, rarer NFT through minting and earn more from them
- Earn from NFTs Lending & Leasing: You can Lend/Lease your NFTs to others using either the standard retail or profit-sharing methods
- Earn from Staking & Farming NFTs: You can Stake and Farm NFT Sneakers to receive attractive interest rates
And much more.
Q3: I noticed that there are two different tokens on the Runnow io platform. Can you tell us about the RUNNOW and RUNGEM tokens, do the two token holders have an advantage over each other?
Answer:
$RUNNOW is our main token. You can use to buy NFTs, upgrade NFTs level, mint NFTs, vote DAO, and Staking & Farming.
$RUNGEM is a reward token. You can use it to upgrade NFTs level, and also mint NFTs to get a new NFT Sneakers. It can also be used to repair Sneakers, buy Food/Fashion — PVP Fee, and Reset Attribute.
Q4: Community support is one aspect of the project which is clearly more luxurious. How are you going to get to the next stage if you want to apply for a bigger and wider project?
Answer:
We are doing partnership with the leading tech and blockchain businesses at both local and global scales. A few names are:
(1) A leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices;
(2) BSClaunch — the smart platform for top-tier projects reach to the world;
(3) BoxTradEx — a crypto-platform with forward-looking concept firstly based on security and legal compliance.
We are also in talks with other globally renowned partners and will announce to the community in this month.
Q5: What are the key milestones on your roadmap — both things you have already achieved and things that we can look forward to?

In July:
On 10–22/07 at 9 AM UTC, we are going to INO 10,000 Limited Sneakers Boxes on multiple launchpads. You can buy NFTs at a discounted price as soon as possible.
On 14/07, users can Open Box/Trade NFT and join Beta Testing of Runnow.io Mobile App. We will also list RUNGEM token on the same day and go on Mainnet (16/07) with two features: Workout and Free trial Sneaker.
IDO is scheduled on 30/07, following by RUNNOW token listing in August.
In August, users will be able to mint NFTs to get a new, rarer one and participate in a new Running mode — Mara Runnow.
